Just a girl and her fender

Sammie moved more toward getting torn down to be built back up. My job -- the only thing I really understand -- is to clean stuff. I started with the rear fender below. It's pretty nasty, huh? My job this week, which I haven't started on b/c it's been so dreadfully cold, is to finish Brillo-padding it and then to polish it up. I also have the new front fender to polish up as well. Fun, fun.

Aaron also worked on my bike on Sunday, but to be honest, I'm not 100% sure of everything he did. Mostly, I think, he removed stuff -- like the chain.

These are the two old seats, along with the new, prettier seat. It's still not the baby blue banana seat -- ala the bike from my childhood -- but it'll do. Maybe Aaron will let me have tassles on the handlebars? And a bell!

And here's how the bike stands now. At least it's back standing, right? The benefit to having a bike like this is when you can't get the drain plug off the regular way, you can lay the bike down and jimmy it off that way. Sammie is not the gentle sort; she likes it rough. Hopefully, I won't be too rough with her, though!
