More parts arrived

The tank arrived today and is in the front office waiting for us, and some other stuff also came. I should have some updated pictures next week. We're hoping to work on Sammie on Sunday. Aaron's gone basically all of next week -- Porsche training in the ATL -- so I should have plenty of time to update at least once on our progress from Sunday.

I added a couple of links to the right. Check out the Digital iQ one. It's my company's blog. In fact, if you watch the demo reel, keep an eye out for yours truly. And if you go to the company's primary website, iQ Digital, my bio's finally up. For all of you who have no idea what I do, maybe that'll help!

More parts

We've made some purchases recently, and so we're on our way to getting Sammie out of the garage and onto Aaron's parents' property. Can't wait to see how long it is until I cry because I can't understand how to make Sammie go. We'll have to actually start to re-assemble her soon.

We still need to get new side panels for her because one of them is cracked. I also need to decide what color she should be. All instincts say orange, but if anyone has free paint, I'll go that route.

This is the gas tank recently purchased via eBay. Obviously, it needs painted, but it's not as dented as Sammie's current tank.

Here's the fender - look at that lack of rust.

And a new seat! That fits the bike instead of the one jimmied on there. Amazing.

Some bikes have batteries and other goodies

This is Aaron and I as we're leaving his parents' house one warm Sunday evening.

The work begins

To build up, we must tear down.

Sammie in the first stages of disarray

We've now purchased a new seat, tank, and other stuff -- almost time to start working on her. I can't wait to ride, though. Thank god for eBay! Restorations made simple.

Saved!

Say hello to Sammie, my 1973 Honda CL350 Scrambler. We saved her from a sure death in a man's garage. I know she doesn't look like much, but we're in the process of sort of restoring her to street legal status. Really, she's a stepping stone to my Stella. But I love Sammie just the same.

I'm gonna learn to ride a motorcycle!

In the beginning, there was just a girl and her bike.
